10... 9... 8...

Hold on! Hold on! I haven't done my reviews for the year yet! Lol. Oh man. I'm seriously just lazy to blog it out in the end. And now there's no time to complete it. Haha. With only around 16 hours left before 2008 arrives, and me leaving the house real soon, oh wells! I guess I'll just have to do the 07 review in the new year then! But I'll still save it under this very date, the last day of the year, so as to retain some 'flavour'.

Still, I cannot wait for 07 to go and 08 to arrive. I must say this is really the first time in so many years of my life, that I'm actually greatly anticipating the arrival of the new year. I recall for the past years, that I actually always dread the last day of the year. Coz there just seem to be so many unfinished business, and yet the new year just have to rush it's way in and pushed the previous year out of the calendar. I guess one major reason is also because I was still schooling, and that considering each year gets tougher in academic level, plus the fact that I always have so much holiday homework remaining, it must have really made me not like new year very much! Lol.

But for this year, it's absolutely different. Of course, as you can guess, the obvious reason is because of Ah Mee. As I look back through this whole year, I haven't achieved much afterall, since 8 long months of this year was spent inside. So only the first 4 months were really well spent, with me getting a job as well as going to Taiwan for holiday before enlistment. However 2007 is also a year whereby I seriously made a lot a lot of new friends. And I believe it's because of the much free time that makes me want to meet up with my old friends rather often. Unfortunately, time is always limited, as well as cash! Lol.

Oh wells. Last day of the year. It isn't that bad afterall la. But may 2008 just be better, and hopefully gives me more sense of accomplishment than this year. Ha. I'll set my resolutions for the year tomorrow. :) So till then. Happy countdown everybody! :D

Zzz...

What a bloody waste of time. I went back in just to sleep for the next 2 days! Arghz! If that's the case, what for call us back? Why must they just be so stingy with the off? Is it really that difficult to just let us go?! Should have been smart like my friends and just take MC! Whatever.

At least Friday is an off. And Monday as well. But the thought that they are going to eat my Saturday away, for outfield somemore, seriously sucks man! Sian. Next Saturday gone, and I'm sure they claim they would have returned us that day by giving us Monday as an off, when in actual fact it is already a half-day off! And come on, for those who does not have any left on that Monday, do you actually think they will obediently listen to your backing?! Wait long man! Lol.

Nevermind. I shan't fume over such stupid matters. Let me end this year happily. 5 days of holiday still isn't that bad afterall. Can't wait for the arrival of 2008!

Merry Merry Christmas :)

And this day marks the very last day of a super long holiday. 6 days to be exact! Though slightly shorter than the one I had after POP from Tekong, it still feels great. And of course, even more sian by the thought of having to book in on a Christmas night. Was actually hoping to go down to Orchard Road and take a look at those beautiful lightings one, plus the annual carollings. But where got time?!! Oh wells. Next time then.

I'm like super lazy to blog nowadays. Plus the fact that I'm sick, thanks to my dear friend Timothy who actually said that it's the sharing season; how nice of him to share his illness with me! But yea, hence the lethargy to blog. So I'll just sum it all up on what I've done for the past few days..

201207 - Thursday
Went out with Wee Min and Benjamin. Ate at Clarity's and drink at TCC. Great gift exchanging session. And we vow to produce our first album asap, Ben be singer, Wee be lyrics writer and I'm the music writer. Haha. Sounds cool man! And congrats to Ben for getting his driving license! I seriously should go get one soon also.

211207 - Friday
Got a new set of creative earphones. 39 bucks! Oh wells. Then went shopping with mama for CNY clothes. TOPman seriously has a great varietly of awesome stuff. But then quite expensive also. Got myself 2 shirts and a pair of jeans. Like $155 in total. Luckily got $30 voucher! So not so bad. And I can't wait to put those new clothes on! Haha.

221207 - Saturday
Thanks to Ian's recommendation, our TIP outing landed up at the PITSTOP cafe. (No negative connotation intended.) Like after more than a year, we finally meet up again. Thanks to my organising efforts of course. Haha. The cafe was actually quite good, and the crew are real familiar with the games. Prices are very reasonable, at least more affordable than Minds or Settlers'. Overall 7 people turned up, Tiff and Sabrina being the only 2 girls, and the guys were Kennie, LC, Yoke, Ian and me. Not bad for an outing la. Oh! Good luck to Kennie for his GCC man!

231207 - Sunday
Really nothing on this day. Except spring cleaning for the entire house. Haha. My wardrobe is so much neater now! And ready for new clothes! :)

241207 - Monday
Christmas Eve! Went out with Tim initially to get a gift for Sok Ee, who's leaving to London for overseas attachment like on the very first day of the new year! Then we went to PITSTOP again (This time by my recommendation. LOL!) and play. Quite fun, and coz I accumulated more than 100bucks of spendings in one month, got the PITSTOP mini! Haha. And after the game, met up with Darius and gang for the Christmas Eve dinner. My, it was at the Moomba which was really expensive! Australian cuisine. Must really thank Randall for that generous treat. Haha. And then after the dinner, didn't head to Orchard, but just went home. Coz I fell sick. Lol.

And then today. Nothing much. Slept the whole day. What a boring christmas right?! And now I gotta prepare to book in. Where's Santa seriously?! Oh wells. I'm going to start a series of posts on the review of the entire year. Guess it should be fun, coz I'm gonna, for the first time, put photos up here. Or else my blog also looks damn dull. Ok. Till then.

iiinnnggg...

Was at range today, and it had to happen only when it was about to end. Like the last few shots left, and I actually forgot to put on my earplugs. The moment the rounds went out, I felt something extremely wrong. My ears just went RING like super loudly. And then I couldn't carry on to shoot the remaining rounds. Oh wells.

I thought that was it, that was going to be deaf. Then thoughts of what kind of sounds I would miss most just flash through my mind. (Abit drama! I know..) I guess the sounds that I would miss most is obviously the voices of my love ones, my family especially. Other than that, the chipmunks voices, which I just got so obsessed with only very recently. Lol.

The ringing is still stuck in my ear!! I wish it would go real soon..

Chipmunks!

What the hell is the problem with some youngsters these days?! My Gawd! I was on my way home just now, on bus 171, and there's this seriously young couple who board the bus and sat behind me. Next thing I know, there was loud heavy metal music pounding directly on my ears. How more considerate can they be?! For a moment, I thought it was just some handphone ringtone. But then that bloody "music" continued like for ages, which makes me conclude that they simply had their "MP3" blasting throughout the entire bus journey. Absolutely irritated as I was trying to catch a nap alright! WTH!

Nevermind. Today was a great day spent. :) Exhausted my last day of leave for the year, and spent it with Huimin and Steph today. Went to catch a very early movie, like 1030H at cineleisure, coz I thought I have to book in at 1630 for some stupid survey. Thankfully it was cancelled at the very last minute. So actually we didn't have to catch such an early movie afterall. Haha. Oh, btw, the movie was actually Alvin and The Chipmunks! And if you haven't catched it, I strongly recommend you to do so asap! It certainly is one of the best family movies to watch. Chipmucks are just damn cute, and the voice, though very high pitched and rather irritating at times, can still bring out a chuckle or two from you! Haha. I'm so gonna buy the soundtrack soon!

And then went around shopping for those $15 presents. Wah. So broke, and still can't find anything that is suitable for Wee. The bracelet lah! So nice, but got to wait till after Christmas then can collect. Oh wells. Maybe I should just liase with her and we both don't get anything for each other. LOL. Can save a large sum, if that would be the case. Haha.

I'm so going to miss Kimberle. KIMBERLE, how can you so last minute tell me that you would be flying off in just a few hours?! Plus the mere fact that you messaged me at 6am?! Obviously don't want me to send you off right?! How can you be sooo like that?! Oh wells. I guess you must be on your tours now. Have loads of fun kae, and all the best for your opening term exams. I'm sure you'll be back in Singapore sooner than you would have imagined. So cheer up, and don't be so upset ya!

Alright then, gotta prepare to book in. Next two days will be shooting! I hope I would do real well and like get 'mucks man'! Then can get extra money to tide me over this really 'tough' times. Season spendings la! Ha. Till then.

Even Lazier Sunday

Sunday! A very lazy one indeed! Haha. I woke up at 12pm today, only to fall back asleep and wake up at 2 again. Kinda wasted loads of time, but nvm. At least I feel much more alive now! It's important to relax and refresh ma! :)

Preparing to book in now; a boring task of packing all those clothes and then changing into the 'standard' book in outfit. Haha. Looking forward to the end of this week, coz it would mean BN ex would finally be over, or so I hope! 4D3N, and the weather doesn't look promising at all. Last week's one was real great, like only 3D2N, thanks to our dearest biggest upstair! How unfortunate of him to get a mild stroke at such a young stroke. Yet sadly, everyone seemed to be rejoicing on that piece of 'bad' news. LOL! And then one full day in outfield was also wasted all thanks to the rain. It was practically raining for 24 hours la. There was like ZERO deployments, and very few missions conducted. So I must say it's quite a good week. Ha.

Enough of AH-mee stuff. Yesterday was a great day spent, just like the one last Saturday. Haha. Glad that I took the effort to meet up with Kimberle, especially since her time in Singapore is so little. Wonders when again will I get to see her, like next year May, or June! Went out for lunch, and then a movie. Sneaked preview Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium. Kim likes it, though I found it OK only. Love all those cute toys la, the way they are being animated was very comical indeed. Storyline is just alright, but overall it is quite a touching movie, in some ways. But I seriously dislike the ending; they could have done more with that. Well, maybe there would be a part 2, either about the new store owner, or maybe about Magorium's past. Afterall, the story started with the end, so hopefully it could show the beginning?! Ha.

After the movie, went to Funan alone to check out my gears and stuff. Oh my, first time going to Funan, and it's really a place full of electronics and gagets! I was especially excited when the stuff I was finding, Saitex Yoke and Quardrant + Saitek Rudder Pedals, is so rare and yet still managed to see some shops selling them. Price for both of them, S$418! Oh wells. Really want them, but the money is a big issue afterall. Was wondering if I could haggle and maybe bring the price down to S$350 or so, but my friend says that is absolutely impossible. Haha. So, gonna just save harder and then quickly go get it. Then I will be able to simulate my flying more realistically and finally own the skies! Lol.

Alright then. Going for dinner now, then book in. Till then.

The Fragility of Life

Hate seeing my mother looking so worried and upset. But how can she not be, when her beloved elder brother is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer?! Hai. My uncle, only 55 this year, has to have such a disease. What's worse is the cancer has spread inside his body, reaching stage 3, a rather serious stage. Went to wiki to read up more about pancreatic cancer. What I've learnt isn't in any way hopeful as well. From wiki: "Median survival from diagnosis is around 3 to 6 months; 5-year survival is much less than 5%." Does this mean I'm going to lose my uncle forever? Hai.

I now somehow think that money might just make wonders. If only we have the money, we could simply send my uncle to the U.S., and get the best doctors to treat him. I'm sure if that is possible, he will be among the 5% to live on for 5 years and beyond. It's really down to the prayers now, and being hopeful, optimistic, that he will be able to fight the cancer and survive through the entire ordeal. Chemotherapy starts first, and I just wish that it would be able to successfully remove that one tumour in his neck area. Coz if it's successful, it would simply increase his chances of living exponentially, and that the doctors can then work on the tumour harbouring at his pancreas. So please, please just make this one true miracle and let my uncle live!

Nothing much else to say. Can only give my blessings to my uncle now and pray hard for him that he survives.

N O S T A L G I A

The nostalgia overwhelms every single brain cells in me such that I now have difficulty to even think of what to write. The thought of what is to come is simply depressing. As though 4D3N isn't long enough, up next is a 5D4N outfield, like straight from Monday to Friday! This is so tiring, and it is especially more difficult for me to endure because of the various conditions that I have to put up with. Not so much about the training, but more of personal physical issues. The pain in the leg, the ache in the back and worst! The skin that is forever sensitive! Oh man. Seriously, my skin has never rot so bad before. With this persistant outfields coming along, I wonder what will become of it in the end. Hai.

It's drilling depression into my head now. I should just stop thinking of it. Full stop! Let's just look forward to the end of it.

On a happier note, yesterday was a great day spent with great old friends! And more importantly, I get to do the stuff I wanted, thus of course, time was well spent! Although this might mean wasting my friends' time. Lol. :p

I went to Terminal 3's open house! Oh man. Upon arriving at the departure hall, the beauty of the sky-roof simply awed me. Totally magnificent. The overall design of the entire terminal is great man! My english ain't good enough to describe it all out. But you just have to be there yourself to feel the 'aura' of it all. Haha. And then being able to enter the transit area, and be really close to the runway. To see planes landing, having their wheels touched down and then gliding down the runway so gracefully; best part is I got it all down on video. 1 word, "SHIOK"! Lol! Can't wait for it to be fully operational next year. I guess people from all around the world will just commend on the beauty of the terminal. (On a side note, I'd be using T3 for my NZ trip. What irony. Looking forward to using the terminal, plus getting to sit on SIA, but not looking forward to the days there at all. Oh wells.)

Then went to SITEX. My, there sure was so many people around. Got to understand the current pricing of coms, especially monitors/TVs. Yep. Guess I'm more or less decided to go with a 32" LCD TV for my monitor. Looks much cooler as well. Ha. After which we (we = Huimin, Steph, Wei Qi and me) went outside Expo and sat by the road to talk. Shared my first song with them, ha! They said the music was nice, as usual, but the lyrics didn't looked like lyrics and the singing wasn't good. As usual! Haha. Kae la, I'll work on that part.

On a 2nd happier note, I've finally got the front part of my 2nd song! Hooray. It's so exciting, can't wait to let YYY hear and fill it up with great lyrics. Haha. Alright then. Gotta get ready to book in now. Can't wait to write the next post, coz that would mean I've survived another terrible ordeal. Till then!
