Today seriously feels more like a Sunday to me. Simply reminds me of the days back in Tekong, whereby I only get to book out for 24 hours, or maybe even less. Coz it used to be like booking out on Saturdays, sometimes even at 5pm, which by the time I arrived on mainland, it would already be 6+. And then having to book in again on Sundays, most of the time being in the evening, at 5+. Come to think of it, I now wonder how I managed to survive that. LOL. Maybe at that time I was also too shag to even think ba.
At least yesterday I had half day off, or else I would be in a very sulky mood right now. Weekends are so precious man, yet I have to sacrifice my Sunday tomorrow for guard duty! Speaking of which, it would be my first time doing 'it' lo. Many said I should consider myself very lucky for not having touched guard duty since enlistment date till now. Haha. Which is indeed true la. Can still recall the days in Tekong, when my upstairs have to pick people for guard duty. How they select? Of course first to go will be those that has to be punished, which lucky for me, hadn't commmit any major mistake. Then the remaining slots that has to be filled, will be done so by drawing lots. LOL. And lucky me didn't get selected. So no guard duty in Tekong. Come to new vocation, seemed like every single person in the same course have done at least once, but me!! Haha. I don't know what's the reason, is it Best Trainee priveledge? LOL. But whatever man, I'm just lucky! :)
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. And my first taste of guard duty has to be on a weekend. Sighs. The worst part is having to book in tonight because they claim we must have 7 hours of sleep for the duty. What nonsense man! Hai. What sianifies me more is the hectic schedule that is to follow next week. 2 more days of insane ICCT, which simply aches my body to the maximum! And then followed by 3 days of outfield. I think after the duty tomorrow, I will just shag out totally la! Wonders how will I be able to survive the remaining days of the week.
For now, I'll just look forward to the end of next week man! Seriously! I foresee it being a painful one, with lots to endure. There's so much to fulfil, like not screwing up for duty, and no mistakes during outfield. Most importantly is I MUST pass that bloody ICCT test coz I seriously have no wish to retake it again. Freaking sian, physically demanding and mentally challenging. Oh wells! Till then!

Arrival of the A380
The biggest bird in the world has finally landed on our lands. And the livery on it's body is none other than the beautiful colours of SIA. Yes indeed!!! After an extremely long wait, especially due to unforeseen delays, Airbus has finally delivered its A380 to their very first customer. And I just can't help feeling so excited that SIA, the airline company that belongs to my country, Singapore, will be the FIRST in the world to fly that plane!! Woots!
Just some general knowledge to share. Airbus A380 is now the 'King of the Skies' for it's magnificently huge size! It has successfully dethroned the previous 'King', the Boeing 747 as this big bird can carry as many as up to 852 passengers in a full economy class configuration. If you can't get a picture of how many people 852 will mean, try picturing VCH in full house mode! It's simply that many people. Well, SIA has the plane configured in such a way there will be a total of 471 passengers, still a lot compared to the 747! And they proudly introduce a new class where they call it 'a class beyond first'; The Suite Class. It's awesome I tell you. It's like you have your own cabin on board, and then there's a full flat bed in the cabin. Best is the double bed suite, meant for honeymoon couples! Gosh! I so want to try that in future! BTW, the suite class cost around 10.5k for a round trip just between Singapore and Sydney only. LOL! Go figure!
The maiden flight will be on the 25th of October. Man! I so want to see it fly. But hai! Too bad, won't be able to get my leave approved coz of some training that I will have to do on that day. Furthermore, obviously the upstairs will not approve my reasoning for my leave; would like to see the A380 fly. But it's my passion lo, my love for planes. Seen it fly before during the Asian Aerospace last year. Oh man! The big bird seriously can fly so gracefully in the skies, and it's amazingly quiet as well. And then the size! The wow factor is simply the size man! Humongous! Haha. Totally love the plane man! :)
Oh wells! It's a milestone in aviation history! I guess this A380 might just spark Boeing to create an even bigger bird. Then soon the skies will just have more giants to come! Haha. That will be an interesting sight to expect. Meanwhile, I strongly recommend this site by another aviation enthusiast. http://www.sq380.net/ Totally rocks man! Kae then. Hope all goes well for Thursday's magical moment! :D

Cooking At Gloree's House
Was absolutely fantastic! Haha. It's not my first time cooking, but it's my first time cooking a full meal. And also first time cooking proper dishes, not just the normal instant noodles. Well, of course with the help of Bernard and Gloree. Kae, or more like I was the one helping and then they doing the cooking. We all did our fair share la.
The dishes that we ended up preparing:
1. Dumplings (Jiao Zi) - Highlight Dish I suppose
2. Char Siew - Got it directly from the market, I sliced them up and my slicing skills improved kae!
3. Cod Fish - Suppose to be salmon fish, but then cod fish seriously tasted much better! :)
4. Xiao Bai Chye - I chopped them up as well. And solo fried this dish by myself!
5. Kuai Tiao - Sort of like the staple for the meal
Haha. It was fun cooking, especially with people whom all didn't know much about cooking. So it was sort of like experimenting in Gloree's kitchen. But I guess I was the most noob one, learning much more from the both of them. Gained a handful of 'culinary skills' after this cooking session. For one, I know how to peel prawns in a more 'pro' manner. And then slicing/chopping skills also improve. Also learnt how to make dumplings; it's really hard to get the skin to stick together. Ha.
And then cooking can be so tiring also. There were so many moments when I got rather sian of it, probably also due to me being extremely hungry. Lol. The preparation work alone, took us close to 1.5hours. This was accompanied with a lot of washing. Then after a 45min break, the cooking began. Actual cooking was fun, and especially rewarding when the food began to look edible! Haha. But of course, the wash up after the cooking was all the more tiring. Then proceeding the consuming of the meal, which the 3 of us have like a post-cooking debrief. Ha. Rather funny, and we figured we are good, since we are first-timers and the food is actually edible. Probable flaw is the timing, as the food turned cold while waiting for the other dishes to be ready. Nonetheless, still rewarding!
Yay! Great buddy outing spent at Gloree's house, with a refreshing activity as well. My next cooking event at Ben's house. Lol. Hope it will be a success as well! :)

Integrity
I strongly believe in integrity. Doesn't matter if I didn't get it now. At least I did it all by myself, and not through cheating! I'll just try harder next time. And yes, get it with my very own abilities!!!

Tough Life
I am so very tired! Hai. And then life has to get harder and tougher for me. It surely feels that army life just seems more and more difficult for one to endure. Or maybe it's just me. One thing for sure, I'm seriously reaching breaking point. Don't know how much more of all this can I take. I really wish it to stop, but I know that day simply would never come.
And then I failed my SOC. I also know that I won't get gold for this wed's IPPT. I really must do well for this two physical tests, but it must always be so difficult for me to achieve when in all boils down to physical fitness. I bloody hell did train, but I also know my body very well, that it bloody hell takes a damn bloody hell time to recover and even build up fitness. How on Earth then, am I suppose to excel in these two tests within such a short period of time? It's seriously extreme frustration man!
I seriously hate anything and everything that has got to do with "(you know what la)"! Every damn thing inside is simply screwed up. Everything the upstairs think is good for us simply isn't at all! I really wish I can have my nights off back, and certainly don't want to spend anymore time, i.e. my Saturdays, away inside that nonsensical place. Absolutely full of shit! Hai. I now have to be mentally prepared coz I know there's going to be major changes to what will be coming in the days to come. Especially when I/WE has/have been deemed as the weakest people among the entire group. ARGHZ.
I don't wish to talk about it anymore. I just hope that there in me still remains the energy, the willpower to fight on all this nonsense, survive and emerge triumph!!!
I miss you so much it just hurts thinking about you...

First October
HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY!
Another beginning of a new month. Yet nothing much to look forward to! LOL! Everything would just proceed as per normal I guess, with majority of my life simply spent inside camp. But I'm still glad that at least there's an OFF today! Woots. Allowed me to really stone, rot and simply rest my mind and soul at home.
Sent out rather huge number of smses, especially to certain people whom I haven't kept in contact for sometime. Took this opportunity to send some well-wishes and it felt great! Haha. Also finally found the time to emailed Pam. Gosh. Which I realise how much I miss her! Hai. Simply going to miss those that are leaving or have already left. Hmmm...
I finally cleared a rather huge amount of sms-es in my forever packed inbox. Lol. Feels much better not seeing the "Your inbox is full" notice poping out every now and then. But, I think it wouldn't last long. Ha.
Alright then. Shall try to be more optimistic towards life; like what Gloree said, jiayou with life! :) Kae then, hope everything goes well for this whole month ya!
