Goodbye! Be Back Soon!

In the next half an hour, I'll have to get ready to leave the house and make my way to the airport.

In the next two hours, I'll be meeting my family for a farewell dinner.

In the next three hours, I'll have to report and collect my passport as well as the boarding pass.

In another few hours, I'll be on board the airplane and making my way to Auckland International Airport.

In less than 24 hours, I'll be at the camp preparing for the days to come.

All this is finally happening, and happening so fast they are! Oh man. Although it's only 3 weeks, but I'm still definitely gonna miss home so much. I think I'll miss my family the most, as well as my room. The comfortable bed PLUS the booster that I would always hug to sleep every night. Well, I probably won't even have bed for 2 weeks la. And then of course, I will miss my friends here as well. Not being able to talk very often is really gonna make me quite miserable. It's because of the damn bloody high costs can! Like 1 minute of talk time actually cost 4 freaking bucks! Horrendously expensive alright! I gotta even be wary of the sms-es I send, coz each of them will cost 58 cents as well!

If given a choice, I'd still wish not to go for the trip. But hai, useless saying all this now. Hopefully there would be internet kiosk over there so that I can update on the my happenings in NZ ya. I guess this is it. Going overseas for a different motive for the very first time. I'd still hope I can be at my best, as well as everyone be at their very best, and hopefully we'll attain the Best Battery status! Haha.

Will be back on the 3rd of February! Till then. :)

Anxiety

It's just 2 days left! And then I will be flying off for NZ. Oh man..

As I've mentioned yesterday, went out with BBSS in the morning and the afternoon. A repeat of yesterday's incident nearly occurred, as I almost could not wake up. It's really only me to blame lo, sleeping at 0430H and expecting myself to wake up at 0845H. I was so glad that I at least managed to get up by 0930H. And so managed to reach there just on time! Whew! Sang at Marina Sq Kbox, and sang my hearts out I did! It was absolutely a great de-stressing session, as I got myself real absorbed while singing. I guess I looked real silly as well, coz wq and hm simply didn't stop laughing. Haha. It was fun alright! :)

Too bad the Kbox personnel actually stood by the door and requested for our leave! Haha. Thought they would have that 'cutting' system which could automatically cut our song list and thereby force us to leave. Oh wells. Meet up with Vivien after the singing. Then a full BBSS settled down at the foodcourt, have some light deserts while chatting over a wide range of topics. I was more like listening, occasionally complaining about my life inside. But yea, I guess they are also tired of my non-ending rantings, so I tried to keep it short. Lol.

Then met Darius and company for dinner. It was really nice of him to treat me coz he claims he should since I'm going overseas for tough training. Lol. And then I felt real bad coz like the whole time I was actually throwing tantrums at him. Haiya! Should have treated him better la, but I was really tired and my stupid left leg keep aching with pain, was just feeling rather miserable at that time. The food at Breeks did cheer me up afterall. Haha. Talked about my whole trip again, highlighting the risk factors I faced and simply showing my dread over the whole matter. Oh wells. I guess I'm rather pessimistic lo.

Still, I did enjoy myself thoroughly today! Cannot wait for the entire trip to be over and spend time with these great people again. My great friends ah, they never fail to make be feel happier! :)

Alright. I'm off to sleep. Next 2 days will be with family liao. Then will be at the airport sooner than I'd have known it! Till then.

Overwhelming Dread

Ok. I'm late. Suppose to blog proper yesterday, but then was too lazy in the end. So I shall do it right now!

Anyway, this entire week just felt so long! It's like as though 1 month has passed by, even though I was only in camp for 4 days. Very very busy indeed. Packing occupied most of the time, and it was really stressful too. The amount of things to stuff into that 'puny' duffel bag was immense, and yet the time given to get it done was, I must say, not very sufficient. Henceforth, I was like packing till very late into the night for the first few nights, which caused me to nearly turn into a zombie! Haha.

The process! First night, the night I booked in, on Sunday night, was actually packing to prepare for the shift to the new bunks! It simply meant clearing out my entire cupboard, and only then did I realise that I really have so many things packed inside! I had to make 2 trips can! (Which actually is considerably good, as others had to make like 3 to 4 trips! LOL!) And the worst part is that the shifting have to clash with the briefing for the trip! The briefing didn't take that long; it's the checking of our passport details and stuff that seriously wasted the most time! Hence there was really not much time to unpack proper! By the time we brought all our things over, it was already evening time. Nights off was approved, but one of the upstairs lose something that is precious to him and caused more time wasted! The nights off was simply pathetic, only like 2 hours outside. Furthermore, the list of stuff to be brought over for the trip was also given only on that day. And upstairs expect us to get whatever that's lacking during that 2 hours. Thus the stress and the rush alright! Zzz. It just boils down to poor efficiency! -_-

Must thank my father for aiding me with the mad rush to get the stuff that I was lacking! When I finally acquired all the things I require, the next problem kicked in. It is to pack the seemingly infinite amount of items into the duffel! Oh man! Plus being the usual me, I get so worried over such silly stuff. Lol. I have to really try all sorts of methods, then could I finally managed to squeeze in as much as possible, all the items on the list! Shan't name them in case it is sensitive la. But yar la! It was a serious headache man. Took me one whole night, plus the help of my bunkmates, before I finally managed to zip up the bag. Rather afraid that my bag would actually burst, with all the things stuffed inside! Lol. Hope not la!

So finally got the bag done! Then with some time to think, my mind wandered wildly. Began to dread badly over the trip. Hai. Especially after the briefing, seeing all those accidents, and then calculating my risk factor! Oh man. My risk factor is really high lo! Was rather depressed about it. Told some of my friends, and then yar la! They all say I too pessimistic liao. Yes. I won't be gone forever man. Touchwood sia! (I wonder why touching wood would actually dispell the bad luck! Hmm..) But then again, to be leaving home for 21 days, and to try to survive in a different climate condition, down right in the open, I seriously doubt it to be easy! Survive I will la.

Thus, these remaining few days, would really want to spend more time with my family and close friends. Met up with the signallers. I was damn late alright! Couldn't wake up lo. Lol. Super embarassing! Returned Xin Ming and Kok Wai their players, (like finally!) as well as celebrating John's birthday. 20 years old liao. Lol. Then went for my skin MA. Got back the same medication again. Lol. After which wanted to do some shopping, but ma took super long to get her spoilt watch situation settled. Ok la, the service was also good, and the lady that attended my ma was super nice. Haha. So in the end, only got myself a blink blink cap to cover the ugly haircut on my head! Love the cap! :)

Then went to school today for the J1 orientation. Oh man. Makes me feel rather old. And I miss those days when I was J1 myself! Haha. Was with Berns and we toured around the school, trying to recall what lectures/tutorials we had in whichever classrooms or LTs that we passed by. It was just rather overwhelming, all those fond memories! Arghz. Wish I could return to those JC days again. Then called Gloree out and it was a short buddy outing! At least I get to see the 2 of them before leaving! So yay. Today was a great day well spent!

Meeting BBSS up as well as Darius tmr! After which the rest of the time will be with family. Shall learn more about flying too, spend more time with the gears which cost me a bomb! Haha. Kae. Till then.

Rush!

Have nights off today. But apparently not much time to blog! Coz I have to like rush back to camp right now. Haha. Have been busy with packing and packing and just more packing! Tmr will be final inspection and then my duffel will be sent over already. Oh wells. So much to say but no time. Will blog proper tmr. And I seriously dread that haircut tmr! ARGHZ. Kae, gtg! Ciao!

It's 2008! Happy New Year!

Happy Happy New Year! It feels like yesterday only, whereby I was in Beijing holidaying. And that was like in the year 2000! I remembered that upon landing, I saw this huge banner showing Beijing bidding for the 2008 Olympics! And I was that wondering, 'Wow! 2008! 8 long years later!' Yet it was only 15 hours ago that I was actually counting down towards the arrival of 2008! My oh my! So 8 long years had indeed passed by so quickly, and now 2008, this significant year has arrived! Why significant? Coz it's the year whereby I'm no more a teen, whereby the tenth digit of my age is no more a 1, but is going to be a 2! Oh my. Turning 20, kinda feels old afterall.

Anyway, was at downtown yesterday to celebrate the countdown with my class. It's also a significant countdown moment for my class, as we were counting down from 07 to 08. And since my class is 05S78, hence the obvious link and thereby the significance. Lol. People who turned up are: YYY, Pam, Tim, Andy, TingFu, Berns, Nic, ZhuXuan and Weixuan. Quite a number afterall huh?! Well, the wait for 0000H was rather boring I must say, as I actually doze off and that unglam moment was being captured by YYY. Haha. Did nothing much really, except playing bridge, talked about and eating chips. But then when the moment was about to arrive, I just can't help allowing the adrenaline to rush through my entire body. Haha. It just gets more and more exciting with the DJ exclaiming the number of minutes left to 2008, and then with the final 10 seconds, the whole crowd just screamed each number so loudly my ears nearly went deaf! Finally, at ZERO, the splendid music composed by Iskandar was played while the awesome fireworks brightened up the entire sky. It was absolutely brilliant, especially when viewing the fireworks at our position. There was no obstruction, nothing at all to block our view! Ha. So I must say that the wait was definitely worth it!

A great way to begin the new year with 8 minutes of fireworks! Ha. So of course, with the new year comes new year resolutions! For this year, I would not want the next 366 days to be wasted away, like what I had done in 2007! I want to ultilise every single day to it's maximum best as far as possible! It must be a fruitful year, a year with achievements and satisfaction! So, my resolutions for now:

1. Save my back! Sit Straight! Walk Straight! Lie Straight!
2. Rescue my skin! Especially my face! ARGHZ!
3. To earn a total of 10k for this year. (It's indeed a lot, but I'm going to work hard!)
4. Perfect my landings.
5. Get my driving license!
6. Be a more environmentally friendly person. (I'll off my comp later when not in use! :p)
7. Produce 10 songs and make it an album!
8. Maybe get a relationship?! (LOL! See how man!)

Yes. So much things to do, so much more in my mind which I wish to accomplish. But I guess I'll just list down this few which I think is do-able first. In fact, they are in order of priority as well. I shall update this list when I can think of more. Yup!

A brand new year, a brand new beginning. Hope all will be well and may it be a smooth sailing year for me! Gotta book in now. So till then! :)
