HOORAY!

I finally passed that dreaded FTT! HOORAY! All the efforts paid off man. Lol. Reading the book like 6 times, going for 2 practice sessions, as well as having to endure the gruelling evaluation. I am just so glad that it's finally over!! It was especially horrid just now, while waiting for 1630H to come so that I could sit for my FTT! Was just damn tired, thanks to guard, and couldn't absorb anything from the book. Lol. But who cares?! I have passed that damn thing! Now to move on to the practical! :)

Kokwai asked me how long did I take to do the test. Guess how I replied? Without thinking much, I said 20 minutes, finished at around the 12th minute, and then check. His reply? "cool. spoken like a true Hwa Chong student." LOL! I just couldn't stop laughing after reading that line. Though it's really quite 'Duh'! Haha. I just found it real lame and funny.

Kae! I'm dead tired now. Tmr still got 15km to run. Death-tifying man! Arghz. Off to bed now. Nites!

Bad Omen

The little A380 plane model which I had sticked it to the ceiling of my room, I found it lying on the floor this morning!! It looked just like a full A380 had crashed onto the ground. So it can either mean that my luck later will not be good, or that an accident involving A380 could happen later. Hmm. I guess the former is more likely to be true now, considering my current state of luck. Hai.

I was waiting at home the entire day yesterday! Waiting for the SMS to come, or for the pager to ring. Neither happened though! Hai. It just goes to show that I am not as lucky anymore. Afterall, upstairs was very ascertain that there will be an activation. So if it wasn't yesterday, it has got to be today, isn't it?! Hai. I can only hope that there will be no activation at all. Leave my Sunday in peace! Let me have a great time with my classmates, whom I had not seen for the longest period of time. Please. It's all that I'm asking. Robbing me of this opportunity to meet up with them, this very opportunity which I had created with my bare hands, is just simply plain cruelty! Hai.

Hopefully everything will run smoothly today. And till now, I cannot figure out how I had managed to make such a dumb mistake. I have no idea how on Earth did I calculate 25 persons coming down, when there is actually only 20!! The worst part is that because of my calculation error, I went to order food enough to feed 30 persons! Arghz! It's really a foolish, silly mistake! Now so much food is gonna be wasted, and I'm sure people won't be happy. Hai.

Oh wells. Just wish me the greatest luck now. I don't wish to be called back by TPO. Please just let me have this Sunday, and I'll be more than grateful! :S Till then.

Unusual Optimism

It has been a wonderful week of rest and enjoyment, though I think I could have spent it in a more appropriate and meaningful manner. Oh wells, what's done is done, so too bad! Time just has to fly so fast in the midst of your enjoyment! And I believe I must have mentioned that for the umpteenth time on my blog. LOL! :)

Well, I had actually spent most of the days rotting away at home, which is why I thought I had actually wasted most of the week away. Then again, it's really hard to find people to meet up during weekdays, especially since this forced off and leave happened at the very last minute, henceforth making it real hard to squeeze myself into others' already packed schedule. The only activity which I had busied myself with over the days and derived most satisfaction from is none other than planning the class chalet itself! Lol. But it seems as though I was planning it forever. Took an especially great amount of time for me to settle the food list for the BBQ. Had to even make my way down to Giant@Vivo just to survey prices of various food items. Oh wells. I'm just glad that I've finally settled the cumbersome budget list, and everything so far seems to be flowing smoothly as planned. So Sunday it shall be! And I seriously cannot wait! :D

I must say that this week of rest (rot) gives some kind of preview to the lifestyle of an ORD personnel. It seriously just feels like the old school holidays once again, letting time trickle by aimlessly, doing useless or senseless stuff just to occupy the time! Hell NO man! I cannot let such a scenario occur after I ORD! Enough time is wasted inside. Every single second should and must be cherished the moment precious freedom is granted back to me! I must begin my ORD plans now, so that days to come will be spent fruitfully, not aimlessly!! Yes! More plans-making to come! :S

6.5 months more to go! I know it will be difficult for me once again, to let go of a life which I had grown so accustomed to even though I do not like it. Yeah. It's my character man. I just have got to change this lousy personality of mine. Times change, people move on. Oh wells. At least for now, I can say that though the pace of life inside will escalate and grow tougher in the months to come, with all the important tasking assigned to me, I'm sure the last few months of my army life will definitely be a meaningful and fruitful one. It's simply what I had always wanted, to spend my time usefully and not just let it get wasted! Haha. So if my army life is coming to an end, let's end it with a BIG BANG! Woohoo! :)

Well Deserved Break!

Well! Well! Well! Today's the third day of my week long break! Yep! I'm basically on forced off and leave for the entire week; kinda pains the heart to see so many days of leave burnt especially, since I have very few left and after this week's deduction, leaves me with only 6 precious days for the entire year! Arghz! Oh wells, can't be helped I guess. Upstairs wants us to clear it away asap so that there won't be a scenario whereby there isn't much time at the end of the year for us to clear. Super kiasi attitude man! Lol.

So anyway, other than the short interruption on Wednesday evening, for which I'd have to return and perform the lame sentry duty, it's basically a good 8 days break; From Sunday to Sunday. Yet unfortunately, during this period of rest, there will be some form of activation happening. I just hope that it doesn't fall on the coming Sunday, for I had painstakingly planned a chalet for my class and I really wish to be present through the entire event! So please! Please let me be free for the entire day, and not interrupt me in the midst of my enjoyment! Thank you! :S

Went out with Zi Xiang, Ming Han, Alex, Kok Wai, John and Rayner yesterday! First 3 for the movie, Red Cliff, which is really good, and together with the rest for Minds at Dhouby Ghaut. Quite a good day hanging out with them, I must say. Managed to relaxed my senses and turn my attention over those mind-boggling issues away momentarily. Enjoyed myself greatly, until the point when I had to leave. No idea why, but I just turned real miserable for awhile. It felt as though I was parting them for good (obviously it isn't), and those feelings just hurt me deep. Yeah, weird me. Maybe it's preparing me of what's to come in 7 months time! Oh wells. Anyway, the waring scenes in the movie are real breath-takers! It awesomely displayed the brilliance of the 3 kingdoms characters in that era. It's really a must watch man, and I just cannot wait for the next installment to be released! Ha.

Tomorrow will be a great day! I'll be heading to YYY's house, and I'm sure you can guess why!! Haha. My blog shall have a refreshing new look. And I really cannot wait for that to happen! So till then! :D

On Cloud Nine!

OH YES YES YES!!! I PASSED MY FINAL THEORY EVALUATION!!! HAHAHAHA!!! :):):):)

Lolol! Seriously still trying to accept the fact that I had actually managed to pass my evaluation. I was 4 questions into my test and I thought I was bound to fail it! Coz the questions seemed totally out of the world, as compared to the practice questions that I had done just three days ago. It's especially the first four questions that are rather 'traumatising'. I was basically just staring at them for some while with a completely blank mind! And then, as I progress along with the test, questions that are out of the book just seem to appear more frequently than ever! I was like, where the hell are those questions that are simply just common-sensical and does not require any content knowledge?! Those easy questions that consistently appeared in the practice booklets! No where to be found man! Lol.

Finished the test and I realised there are 10 questions in total in which the answers I wasn't sure of. I knew it would be a gonner! Lol. Was then just checking through, and then got real fed up with the checking, and hence though there was still 20 minutes left, decided to end the test and hope luck will prevail to allow me to pass it! And yes! Lady luck was indeed with me, and I tyco-ishly managed to clear the evaluation! Lolol. I was seriously stunt on the spot when I saw that I had managed a score of 92%, meaning only 4 mistakes! Can you believe that? It meant that out of the 10 questions that I didn't know, I managed to still score 6 correctly, and with pure luck! Isn't that totally amazing?! Haha.

Yes! I'm totally lost for words now! It means my FTT date is secured, and that I can finally clear all the theory tests once and for all, and never have to see it again! But after today's incident, I shan't be complacent anymore. Gotta read the book well all over again, as well as go for more practices before the actual test date! Must get myself better prepared! Shan't want to fail the actual one and have to go through this entire ordeal all over again! It would also be wasting blood money man! Oh wells! Wish me luck for the FTT then! And I'm gonna unleash that mugging spirit just like the good old school days, and pass it! It's on the 31st of July, so 16 more days! Till then! :D

1 Year of Blogging

It's amazing how time flies so fast! Today, 080708, my blog turns 1 year old! Oh my! 1 full year of blogging, of writing down so much that has been happening in the past 12 months of my life, be it sad (which I believe currently occupies 90% of my entries! LOL!) or happy happenings. With a blog, I must say the impact of this very 'time' zooming by can be felt more greatly than without it! Come to think about it, I was still an AI trainee in last year's July, with barely 2 weeks into the course. And then though most of the events that had occurred in the next 12 months are TPO related, which are of course mundane and boring, it's just amazing to realise still that literally SO MUCH had happened. Only one word in my mind right now; WOW! Lol.

And then I guess it's meant to be that I must be able to blog on this very date again, so that I would be allowed to remember and 'celebrate' my blog turning 1 year old! I don't think it's mere coincidence that I would have an off today, but that everything is probably planned up there such that it's fated for me to be able to type in an entry right at this moment! Haha. Coz afterall, it's usually an off on Monday to compensate the Saturday burnt for NDP rehearsals. Yet this week is different coz of certain issues which has to be settled by Monday, thus the off was pushed to Tuesday instead. Tell me then, don't you think this is all somewhat pre-planned already?! Lol. I'm simply thinking too much here. :P

I can still recall the push factor that got me to FINALLY set up a blog. It's all thanks to the 'Live Earth' concert last year, on 070707! Lol. The concert had me concocted a mixture of strong feelings such that I really needed a platform to express them out. Together with the fact that I had wanted a blog all those while, skyavion was thus born! Haha, quite drama isn't it?! But yeah, I'm really glad that I had actually finally made the first move to set up the blog! Coz come to think about it, it was all talk and no action for nearly 1.5 years, since the beginning of 2006. Lol. If then had I have a blog in 2006, it would probably be one even more full of content and personality. Haha. Oh wells.

And so, I shall make a little report on the progress of my blog. As follows:

Total entries: 91 (Includes this entry)
Photos added: 0 (WTH!)
Videos added: 3
Total months: 12
Friends linked: 3 (Quite pathetic)
Blogskin: No change since beginning (Very pathetic)

Lol. I believe it's about time that I learn how to upload photos onto my otherwise really wordy, dizzy-ish, boring blog. And I should also get a blogskin change. YYY! I need your help here! Haha. And then again, I won't be surprise if the blogskin is still as it is when I report on the coming year's progress this time next year. Haha. No no! That shan't happen kae?!

Looking forward, 080709, though seemingly out of reach now, will arrive very quickly; just like how this date has arrived with respect to the time frame a year ago! Anyway by then, I should be expecting myself leading a more vibrant and exciting life, with full liberation from TPO, loads of holidays as well as preparation for uni life. Arghz! Seriously cannot wait man. Lol. Alright! Till then. :)

Thank You Lao Tian Ye!

I guess I'm a real lucky boy today! Haha. As usual, it's a normal, routine, lazy Sunday, with me having to rise and shine rather early and drag my lethargic soul out of the house for tuition. Before doing so, I was having a headache over how to get my army clothes dry asap, since they had been washed only yesterday night and I was intending to bring them back to camp by tonight. Was in fact having a great dilemma over whether if I should hang my clothes outside the house, on the ledge, and leave them there to dry under the burning sun. Coz I was rather afraid that the sky may turn ugly anytime and decides to throw a downpour all over my fresh and clean clothing! Hence, after much deliberation, I decided to play with my luck and hoping that it wouldn't rain while I'm out giving tuition, strewn my rather wet garments out of the house.

Then guess what? Wah! The sky was extremely overcast when I left my student's house. It got me real nervous and panicky all over! Lol. I simply had no choice but to just pray real hard to Lao Tian Ye, hoping that he'd hold his breath and not let the clouds fall to the earth. Then when I was at Boon Lay station, I started to see raindrops. It became a slight drizzle, slowing gaining intensity by the minute. Upon reaching Jurong East station, that very drizzle had become some mighty rain. I thought, that's it! My clothes are all gone, all wet with dirty rain now that I have to rewash them all over. Damn it for trying to be 'smart'! Arghz! Reached Bukit Batok station, the rain died into a slight drizzle. Then everything from there onwards simply surprises me. While on 176 back home, I realised that as I was getting closer to my house, the roads seemed to be relatively drier, as though there was no rain at all to begin with in the first place. When I was at the bus-stop outside my house, the roads were simply dry alright! I was totally amazed that there was actually no rain at my house all this while! LOLOL!

So since the sky was still overcast at the moment and raindrops began to fall, I ran all the way back home and chiong all the way to keep my clothes back into the house. Amazingly, they are all dry and 'safe' from the rain! Woots! Was super duper happy can?! Guess it was really Lao Tian Ye answering to my pleas as well, and just pure dumb luck that helped me out! Haha. Oh wells. Just real glad to see my luck so rather good today. Lolol. :D

050708 = S78

It's 050708! Which simply resembles S78(578) or 05S78, least the 'S'! So Happy Birthday 78!! :) It's a date which I had taken notice since some time in March, and I realised that such a wonderful combination of date numbers should be celebrated and commemorated! Hence came the idea to have a mega birthday party bash for my class, with loads of fanciful thoughts on how to make the occassion a great one. Really wanted it to be a great event for all my classmates to remember, with a function room booked, food catered and various presentations to be made. It was meant to be special, not just for me, but for everyone else in my class.

Unfortunately, as you would have expected, all of the aforementioned above did not happen. In the end, it was just a small gathering of 10+ people holding a simple celebration at the glass house; the place where we usually have our JTS/STJ. Well I'm not being unhappy at the small scale of the function. What saddens me profoundly is the fact that I was the one who wanted this special date celebrated, yet I did not turn up for the dinner myself!! Yes. It's utterly depressing. It was me who came up with most of the plans, sending out SMSes seeking opinions, trying to gather as many people as possible to turn up on that date, and yet I myself was absent from the entire event!! I was so looking forward to this very date, hoping to meet up with my dear classmates whom I have not seen for the longest period of time. Yet still, I could not make it in the end. Hai.

The reason?! Obviously thanks to TPO. I shan't rant here, coz it'll just be the same old story once again. Just to make it short, I am involved in the NDP, and it was NE show 1 today. So, with the role as a 'camera man', when so many professional ones are already at the site snapping away, my entire Saturday was wasted making a fool out of myself in front of the pros. Hai.

I'm just simply upset that it always has to be TPO to wreck havoc on my plans. For 4 long months, I had looked forward to this date! Yet at the end of the day, it has to be 'gloriously' sacrificed to TPO. And the annoying part is that my precious time was not well spent, but simply wasted doing meaningless stuff. I wouldn't be so mad if say I am part of the gun crew, and thus truly contributing for NDP. But of course, I'm just the little camera man, and part of the working party as well, which simply equates to nothing more glamorous than just the infamous fatigue duties that I have to carry out. Arghz!

Anyway it's July again! And so my blog has turned one year old! Oh my, somehow I just cannot believe that I've been blogging for 1 full year already. It's real amazing that with a blog, I can truly appreciate the speed at which time flies. Well, hopefully it'll soar faster, and let me reach my ORD date asap! Lol. I wish to have a new layout for my blog! YYY! Need your help! Haha. Kae. Till then.
